I stopped by a boutique on Saturday and as I perused the store, I chatted with the owner. She asked me what I do for a living and our conversation unfolded.
She told me that some of the women who frequent her store seem to be missing something in their lives. Even though they are privileged and “living the dream”, something isn’t quite right. I asked: what do you think it is? She said, they lack inspiration and passion.
We’ve all felt uninspired at some point in our lives. I certainly have. Situations like a controlling boss, getting fired, a difficult breakup, feeling stuck or sheer boredom can deplete us and take its toll on our well-being.
Our souls need food just like our bodies and as we know, all food isn’t created equal!
Fill up your soul with nutritious, delicious food. Take 5 minutes to answer these three questions:
On a scale from 1-10, how full is my soul?
What inspires me?
What am I committed to doing today to feed my soul?
Nourish your soul – everyday. It’s fuel for living a joyous and abundant life.

I find this to be true among women:
No matter what a woman does, whether an aspiring entrepreneur, company executive, artist, social worker, stay at home mom, whether living a lavish or modest life, no matter her life circumstances, women struggle with putting themselves first.
It’s a core issue that keep us small and gets in the way of embracing our power.
We were taught to take care of others before ourselves. We are wired to prioritize
the needs of others over our own. We learned it was the right thing to do. For many women, it defines who they are. So no wonder, when I say, Put Yourself First, many women are baffled! I’m told they don’t know how, that they’ll feel guilty or at the very least, uncomfortable.
To live a life you’ve never lived, you need to do things you’ve never done. It won’t always be easy or feel comfortable. But here’s the thing: when you start making yourself a priority, you’ll feel deliciously good about YOU.
This week, consider your needs and desires, without thinking about others first. Write a list of things you can immediately do for yourself. Go for a walk or hike, sign up for that new class, schedule time with your boss to ask for the promotion, take a bubble bath, schedule a massage…you get the drill. Your homework for today and every single day:take care of yourself before taking care of others.

We often don’t bring our total selves to everyday situations, whether at work or in our personal lives. Many of us prioritize how others perceive us and how we think we need to be over showing up as our true selves. Why do we do this? Because of a fear we’ll be judged, scrutinized, not liked and not fit in. These fears are natural – everyone wants to be accepted, recognized and validated. It’s part of being human.
Just don’t let these fears be your driving force and get in the way of You being You.

Woo Hoo – It’s a new year. A clean slate. You can create anything you want. You are the mistress/master of your destiny.
This year, scrap the resolutions. We know they usually don’t work because they come from the place of ego and are will based. Instead, ask your heart what it wants most.
Yep, not your mind. It’s the perfect time of year to take a pause, get quiet and listen deeply to your heart and soul. What do you yearn for most?
Whatever you want, whether it’s to recreate yourself, develop a business, find your purpose, fall in love, double your income, create more joy and ease, love yourself more, deepen your relationships, get promoted, put yourself on the big map, or make room
for adventure and fun:
Let your feelings be your guide.
Create intentions that inspire you, that make you feel giddy, that lift you up. That make you feel better than last year. It’s your birth right to feel really good. I mean awesome – from the inside out.
Once you’re clear, take action every single day towards what you want most. Be sure to let go of expectations and outcomes of what it looks like. Trust yourself and how things unfold.
My intention is to joyfully create and build synergistic partnerships – in all areas of life.

It’s easy to get caught up in the activity of the holidays and lose sight of what makes us feel good.
If this resonates, take a pause. Ask yourself what makes you happy, inspired, fulfilled
– right now? Not what others think the holidays should look and be. Let joy be your guide.
Perhaps music, twinkly white lights, decorating cookies or gingerbread houses, drinking a glass of bubbly with your loved ones is your thing.
Or DANCING.
Or curling up by the fire with a great BOOK. Traveling or planning your next ADVENTURE. Or Slowing WAY DOWN. Making ROOM for silence, to connect to yourself, so you can create your BEST YEAR EVER.
Whatever it is you do:
Be True to Yourself.
Show Up with Grace and Acceptance.
Be Present and Loving.
Speak from Your Heart.
Find Your Happy – all year long.
